Looking to solidify their squad the Singapore Slingers signed there first World Import for ABL 2023, and he is a familiar face. After stints in Taiwan with the Kaohsiung Aquas where he won a championship and Halcones UV Xalapa in Mexico, Xavier Alexander will be back with the Slingers for ABL 2023 as he will lead the charge once again for the club.

Hoping to shake off the rust of the pandemic, Alexander didn’t let any opportunity of being away from the court get past him and took the chance to play even if it meant being away from the Slingers for quite some time. He said “It has been frustrating waiting for the ABL to announce the league was back but being a regional competition, it was understandable. Singapore and the Slingers are my second home so I’m definitely excited to be back.”

Now that he’s put pen to paper, the Singapore Slingers sees this as a springboard to what could be a very promising 2023 Season. Slingers GM Michael Johnson said “Xavier has been the cornerstone both on and off the court for the Slingers since 2015 when he first arrived in Singapore. Xavier had other offers so of course we are very happy he decided to return to the Slingers.”
For X-Man, it’s simply time to prove he’s one of the greatest who ever graced the ABL and show that he’s not yet done. He said, “We still have unfinished business in the ABL so I will be doing everything in my power to help this team reach the top of the mountain.”
