When asked how he felt about the ABL returning Goh said. It has been a very frustrating 3 years waiting for ABL competition to return but I am looking forward to getting back on the court and playing in front of our home fans.

The Slingers also re-signed tough guard JS Lin, (formerly Jun Yuan Lim) yes JY legally changed but name earlier this year but what hasn’t changed is his aggressive nature on court. Jay Shay will be looking to make a bigger impact this season as he pushes for more minutes. When asked what he is expecting from himself this season Jay Shay said. I have been working hard on all aspects of my game so i can be more of a factor this season. I am looking forward to challenging myself especially at the defensive end of the floor.

Kelvin Lim, returns after a frustrating few years. Kelvins career has been punctuated by National Service limited his training and playing opportunities and a string of injuries which has led to a lot of sitting on the sideline watching his team mates. Kelvin has good speed and athleticism for his size and can be a real X factor on any night. Asked what he is looking forward to this season Kelvin said. Staying healthy and contributing on a nightly basis. I have been working hard on and off the court during the covid break to build on my individual skills and strengthen my body in preparation for the ABL’s return.

Tay Ding Loon rounds out the early signings. Ding Loon is one of the hardest workers on the Slingers roster each year. Coming off winning the local domestic NBL championship recently Ding Loon is hoping to see more action in the 2023 season.
