SINGAPORE – The Singapore Slingers continue to roll in the 9th ASEAN Basketball League season as they once again showed their dominance over the visiting Wolf Warriors.

Jerran Young came out big tonight for the home team with 27 points to go with seven rebounds, four assists, and six steals. His fellow import Xavier Alexander once again flirted with a triple-double as he posted a dozen markers and dimes but one rebound shy.

Local three-point gunner Larry Liew woke up on the right side of the bed and emerged from the dugout with his fiery hands, knocking down a whopping six treys out of only eight attempts. The Slingers also got a huge boost off the bench from Russel Low who had quality minutes in the second half and chipped in eight points and four rebounds.

On the other side, Eric Tisby propelled the Wolf Warriors with 23 but ran out of bullets as Chen Cai, who was their leading scorer prior to the game, came up short and settled for only 11 points. The local big man shot poorly from the field with only 4 made shots out of 17 attempts. Meanwhile, Cris Shentu played on his dancing shoes with a couple of anklebreakers and groovy footwork to put up 15 for the now 0-7 Warriors.

The Singapore-based cagers now rally behind the undefeated Formosa Dreamers in the standings with a 4-1 win-loss record.

After several games at home, the Singapore Slingers will be out on the road again as they take on the Saigon Heat who are currently missing the services of Trevon Hughes, but nonetheless still sizzling coming off a victory against the Westports Malaysia Dragons last night.
