Undefeated no more!
The Singapore Slingers get an early Christmas gift by taking the victory against formerly undefeated 東方龍獅籃球隊 Eastern Long Lions Basketball Team, 77-71 in Hong Kong tonight.
The Slingers had huge contributions from their imports with Justin Howard finishing with a huge double/double tallying 24pts & 22rebs while Xavier Alexander fell just 2 assists shy of a triple double finishing with 17pts, 11rebs & 8 assists
Slingers Local playersWong WLong and Leon Kwek finish with 11 and 13 points, respectively, and the Slingers also had strong support from Mitch Folkoff, 6pts and 3 assists and Ng Han Bin who came off the bench to hit two big 3 point shots in the fourth quarter.
After surrendering a big lead late in the last game between these two teams in Hong Kong back on December 7th, it was a relief for the Slingers to hold on to win this hard fought back and forth contest against the previously undefeated Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions.
Despite the win which propels the Slingers back to the top of the ABL ladder, the Slingers are aware that they must work to turn around the number of turnovers (28 & 27) they have committed in the two games against the Long Lions.
