Singapore – The Jobstreet.com Singapore Slingers will play their final home game for the 2014 regular season at the OCBC Arena on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 against the playoff-seeking Saigon Heat.
Currently sporting a 10 win & 6 loss record, the Slingers are in 3rd position on the Air Asia ASEAN Basketball League ladder and only trails the Hi-Tech Bangkok City (11-3) and the Westports Malaysia Dragons (10-4). Singapore’s lone team in the ABL will finish the regular season with 3 away games in Malaysia against the Dragons, in Saigon against the Heat, and finally in Bangkok against Hi-Tech Bangkok City.
The JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers’ home game on October 1st will also feature the annual Cancer Awareness Game. This would be the 3rd consecutive year that the Slingers, in cooperation with the Singapore Cancer Society, have hosted a game in order to further increase awareness for cancer. The team will don Pink uniforms for the game, which will later be auctioned after the game.
