The Singapore Slingers announced today the signing of their third import Anthony McClain for the upcoming 2019/20 ASEAN Basketball League season.
The 7-foot (214cm) bigman will make his return to the ABL after playing for Mono Vampire during the 2015/16 season. McClain played 20 games for Mono Vampire while averaging 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game while shooting 55% from the field.
Most recently, McClain played in the Super Basketball League in Taiwan where he posted almost identical numbers of 17.8 PPG, 13.6 RPG, and 2.6 BPG.
The 30-year-old American will join fellow imports Xavier Alexander and Marcus Elliott as well as Singaporean star Delvin Goh in the Slingers’ bid for the 2020 ABL title.
