The Singapore Slingers used their league leading team defense to clamp down on the Mono Vampires midway through the 4th quarter on their way to a 93-74 win in Bangkok today.
With the Slingers holding onto a slim 4 point lead in a tightly fought game, the Slingers defense triggered a 16 point scoring run that saw the Slingers lead blow out to 20 points, from there the Slingers cursed to their 8th road win of the season.
For the Slingers, Man of the Match Xavier Alexander led from the front finishing with a game high 28 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals, while holding high scoring import Cleveland Melvin to just 7 points which is well below his average.
