Undermanned Singapore Slingers go down to undefeated Hong Kong Eastern in Hong Kong 82-79 at a packed Southorn stadium in Wan Chai Hong Kong last night.
With just 8 fit players available last night the Slingers battled Hong Kong Eastern all the way, but 23 turnovers (many unforced) and some last game defensive lapses allowed Hong Kong to squeak out a 3 point win.
The Slingers who were without Larry Liew and Mitch Folkoff were left reeling when power forward Delvin Goh was ruled out for a second straight away game due to National Service commitments.
The Slingers made no excuses after last nights game. We put ourselves in a position to win this game, everyone battled hard but to many turnovers and some blown defensive assignments at key moments hurt us in the end.

At 3-4 going into the Christmas break the Slingers will use the time to get some players healthy and reload for the remaining 13 regular season games starting with a home game vs Alab Pilipinas at OCBC Arena on the 7th January 2018.
