Singapore Slingers book their ticket to the 2015-16 ABL Championship Final Series against the Malaysia Dragons.
After dropping Game 1 of their play-off semi final series at home to the defending ABL Champions Hitech Bangkok City the Slingers roared back to take Game 2 & 3 against the Thai team.
Slingers Head Coach Neo Beng Siang said, ” Hitech played their hearts out all series long, as we expected the defending Champions to do. Both teams went into the play-offs with injuries but we were able to out last them in the end”.
Game 3 was a thriller with the Slingers establishing what looked like a series winning lead several times only to see Hitech fight their way back into the contest, but it was the home team Slingers that prevailed 68-60 in a defensive battle.
“Both teams fought hard over the 3 game series, with both teams displaying mutual respect and sportsmanship throughout” said coach Neo.
The 2015-16 ABL Finals are scheduled to start on Friday 11th March in KL.
