The Singapore Slingers welcome back American import Justin Howard to Singapore as the team starts preparations for the 2016 Merlion Cup Invitational Tournament from 21-25 September and the 2016-17 ABL season.
Howard who led the ABL in rebounding and finished in the top 5 in scoring last season, returns to the Slingers line up determined to help the team take one more step toward their first ABL Championship.
The Merlion Cup which tips-off on Wednesday 21st September will give the Slingers valuable pre season action against some high quality Asian teams as the team builds up to their first game of the 2016-17 ABL season on Sunday 27th November in Singapore.
With a number of the Slingers local players from last season unavailable due to National Service commitments, the Merlion Cup will also serve as a try-out for some new players.
