Singapore – It was announced today that the JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers have released Center Donald Little who has been battling injuries throughout Season 3 of the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League. Little sustained a heel injury at the beginning of the season, which has not healed as fast as the team hoped. ‘Big D’ averaged 13.25 points, 9.33 rebounds, and 2.25 blocks in 12 games he suited up for the Slingers. Prior to joining Singapore’s first and only professional basketball team, Little saw action for the AirAsia Philippine Patriots in Season 2 of the AirAsia ASEAN Basketball League.
Coming in as replacement for Little is Kyle Jeffers. He was in the Slingers’ roster in the previous two seasons. Jeffers has career averages of 14.8 points and 13.3 rebounds per game with the Slingers. The Oregon State University alumni recently saw action for the Canberra Gunners and InderValle in Australia and Colombia, respectively, before joining the JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers front office this year.
Head Coach of the JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers Neo Beng Siang said: “It was very unfortunate to see Donald (Little) go. He tried his best to recover from his injuries but it wasn’t going in the pace that we needed. On the bright side, we have someone who knows the system in Kyle Jeffers who can make an immediate impact.”
Kyle Jeffers will join the JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers, who are coming off back to back losses against the Bangkok Cobras and the San Miguel Beermen, when they play against the Chang Thailand Slammers on Sunday, March 18th in Bangkok, Thailand.

It was difficult to come to the conclusion to let Little go, however, we also need to ensure that we are fielding a healthy team that can last the entire season.
