Broome, Western Australia – The JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers, who are playing in the 2012 Cable Beach Invitational Tournament, joined hands with the Perth Wildcats of the Australia National Basketball League (NBL), Shanghai Xiyang Sharks and the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), in conducting a basketball clinic held at the Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre for the Broome community.
Facilitated by RV Sport, the organisers of the 2012 Cable Beach Invitational Tournament, players from the 4 teams taught boys and girls aged 6 to 15 the different fundamentals of basketball. Kids were assigned to different stations manned by a group of players from different teams.
After the clinic, Andrew Vlahov, CEO of RV Sport, presented the kids of Broome game uniforms for their upcoming tournament.
The JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers conduct 60 to 80 free school clinics and 40 to 50 community events every year in Singapore.
