Singapore – JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers General Manager Michael Johnson announced today that the team has signed three new Singaporean players – Teck Beng Damien Goh, Qingde Wu, and Mitchell Frederick Folkoff. Per team policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
Teck Beng is a fiery guard that saw action for the Eng Tat Hornets in the Singapore National Basketball League. Beng is 27 years old and stands 173cm.
Forward Qingde Wu is a tireless workhorse inside the paint. Only 20 years of age, he plays for the NTUC Basketball Club in local competitions.
Another Guard that caught the eye of the Slingers front office is Mitchell Folkoff. Mitch, who is also a very good Rugby player, will be a key defensive man this season. He stands 177cm and is 23 years old.
Beng, Qingde, and Folkoff all saw action for the JobStreet.com Singapore Slingers during their recent trip to the 2012 Cable Beach Invitational Tournament in Broome, Western Australia where they saw action against the Perth Wildcats of the Australia National Basketball League (NBL), and the Shanghai Sharks and Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).
All three players were also in action in the Slingers recent preseason trip to Manila.
