The 2015-16 ASEAN Basketball league Best of 5 Championship Final Series is set to tip-off this Friday night in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Malaysia Dragons (16-4) and the Singapore Slingers (16-4) will both meet for the first time in the ABL play-offs. Both teams finished the regular season with identical records and split their 4 regular season games against each other.
For the Dragons they will continue to look for the majority of their scoring from their 4 import players. League regular season scoring leader Matthew Wright (Filipino/American) and league assist leader Jason Brickman (Filipino/American) and American imports Reginald Johnson and Calvin Godfrey.
The Slingers will again count on contributions from several players as the teams local players accounted for 49% of the teams scoring throughout the 2015-16 ABL regular season.
