SLINGERS ANNOUNCE PLAYER AWARDS WINNERS FOR 2009/10 SEASON

The Singapore Slingers announced their major player awards at their end of season presentation dinner held at Brewerkz at the Indoor Stadium on Thursday night.

All player were presented with their playing jerseys and a framed personal action shot from the inaugural ASEAN Basketball League season.

Major awards winners were:

Most Valuable Player: Kyle Jeffers

Most Improved Player: Hong Wai Sian

Best Defensive Player: Marcus Ng

Clubman of the Year: Lim Wai Sian

MVP award Presenter Craig Foster Senior Vice President UPS SE Asia

MIP award Presenter Yen Lu Chow Deputy Chairmen Singapore Slingers

Best Defensive Player Sarah Kirchmann Brewerkz Marketing Manager

Clubman of the Year

Wai Sian was presented with his award and his playing jersey at his hospital bed at NUH where he is recovering from a training injury.

The Slingers finished the season in 2^nd position on the ABL season with a 10 win 5 loss record.

The Slingers lost to Satria Muda 2 game to 1 game in the ABL semi final.
